4. Current Method Conformity Projects - Statistics for microbiology.
The statistics meeting documents includes a plan that Paul had put
together: Qualitative Micro Validation Proposed Plan.
Paul is planning to have the volunteers build their section/software and
compare that to Caryn’s spreadsheet. Then compare the two
spreadsheets to validate them.
Qian will build her spreadsheet next week.
Paul will call Jane to explain what is needed.
Changes to Appendix J are included in page 33 of the meeting briefing
book. For example Item 3 QUAL SLV PAIRED lists a needed change to
appendix J.

5. Chi-Square Test Calculator-All
a. To be handled with Appendix J changes (see item 4 above)
6. Revising statistics committee terms of reference are included in the
meeting book.
a. The revised TOR is included in the meeting book.
b. OMB will want to take this up at the June meeting.
c. Use March call for discussion on the TOR.
d. Read the TOR and be ready to discuss at next call.
e. As a reminder we want to consider the following in the revised
TOR:
i. Could allow people to participate in the committees,
while not being a member of the committee
1. This would allow more people to help with the
work, such as reviews
ii. To allow such participatory members, the Terms of
Reference could describe this type of participation, how
many such people are allowed, and how these people can
move into full committee membership. These
participatory people would not be able to vote on
committee items.
