The Treasury raised the question that the
Vendor was not entitled to the bonus of 12 per
cent, on the ^830 purchase-money, because
the final agreements were dated, signed, and
lodged after the 24th November, 1908.
Mr. Justice Ross held
that
there were
binding agreements before the 24th November,
igo8, which were in substance and in fact
carried out, and therefore that the bonus on
the whole estate should be paid at 12 per cent.
