ARC RATINGS

Arc ratings are supplied to Bulwark

®

based on testing by our fabric suppliers or from

our own testing. Arc ratings are a statistical calculation of the 50% probability that

a second degree burn will result from an electric arc exposure. As with all tests,

some level of variation in ATPV test results is normal and expected among fabrics

of identical fiber content and nominal weight. In order to assist end users with their

hazard analysis by providing the most conservative ATPV, Bulwark

®

will publish the

lowest arc rating for that fabric weight in our catalog and on our garment label.
