Fun was had by all on January 24
th
as we raised our glasses to our new
Commodore Brian McEvoy and wife Renée, to celebrate the 50
th
Anniversary
of North Channel Yacht Club at the 2015 Commodore’s Ball.
Planning for the club’s 2015 boating season is in high gear, and your elected
board is active developing fun entertainment for the holiday’s and boating
weekends ahead.
I want to highlight a change the board approved in publishing the monthly
meeting minutes. The change will allow the posting of the monthly Beacon
earlier in the month. Starting in February, the monthly meeting minutes will be
published two months following. For example, January’s meeting minutes will
be published in the March Beacon. Due to, the Board of Directors has to
approve the prior month’s meeting minutes before publishing them. With the
board meetings taking place in the middle of each month, this will allow any
‘time sensitive’ information to be released in the monthly Beacon at the start of
the month.
