Welfare in relation to the Duty of
Personal Representatives under the
Social Welfare Legislation with their

Gazette.
Included in the practice note was a list
o f the Regional Social Welfare
Inspectors.
T he Department has been delighted
with the response from practitioners,
some o f whom were apparently
unaware heretofore of their obligations
in this regard. However, we have been
advised by the Department that a
considerable number o f solicitors are
contacting Social Welfare Officers in
relation to estates which are not within
their own area.
We would ask
practitioners to please ensure that
they contact the appropriate Social
Welfare Officer in each instance.
