Pseudo-Monoenergetic Images
Considerations
• The two basis materials are iodine and water. All calibration values are stored and
cannot be changed.
• The acquisition protocol is straight forward. In vendors’ softwares, pseudo-
monoenergetic images can be calculated in rawdata domain directly.
• Pseudo-monoenergetic can be used for spectroscopic analysis, plotting CT values of
an ROI for different energies.
• It can be used also to optimize CNR.
• Again, spectral separation and low noise would lead to better and more robust results.
