looked after machinery and implements

brought in a large crowd of buyers from

the sale; giving buyers the opportunity to

Lots which proved to be of interest to the

buyers were a 1996 John Deere 2056

Combine with just under 3000 hours on

the clock which was sold to a UK bidder for

£18,600. The tractors on offer on the day

were both in immaculate condition and it

reflected in their sale prices. The first a

2011 John Deere 7730 with 1,913 hours

attracted a lot of competitive bidding and

eventually sold to a UK bidder for

£39,200. Its partner a 2000 John Deere

7710 despite having 8,253 hours on the

clock was in popular demand selling for

£20,300.

Further lots which were of interest

throughout the day included a 1995 Merlo

P27.7-Evn Tele-handler which was sold to

a bidder from the Isle of Wight for

£12,100. The John Deere 732 trailed

sprayer also sold for £10,400.

Brown & Co. auctioneer James Walton of

the firms Brigg office who was conducting

the sale commented “The sale was a great

success running smoothly from start to

finish with some fantastic prices being

obtained for the well looked after

machinery. The sale attracted a great

crowd of buyers from all over the UK with

lots traveling back to their new homes as

far afield as the Isle of Wight. It was a

pleasure to organise such a successful sale

which has signalled the end of an era for

the Medlam Family.”
