Smarter engineering.

You can choose from 2 advanced petrol engines.

1

The 2.5L iVCT

provides effortless power and refinement. The 2.0L EcoBoost

®1

incorporates direct fuel injection with turbocharging and variable valve

timing to offer the performance of a large engine with the fuel efficiency

of a small engine. The result is 240 net PS,

2

and impressive fuel

economy. Both Escape engines come with an automatic transmission.

Faster than the blink of an eye.

Every 16 milliseconds, the Intelligent

All-Wheel-Drive System

checks howmuch grip is available on the terrain

you are driving across – that’s 20 times faster than the blink of an eye.

It then transmits the optimum amount of torque to the front and rear

wheels to help you avoid oversteer and understeer. The system is of

particular benefit on loose, uneven or slippery surfaces.

Staying vigilant for you.

Long drives are more relaxing with adaptive

cruise control and collision mitigation

1

because, once you have set your

desired distance, it adjusts your speed if the vehicle in front is traveling

more slowly, returning you to your previously specified distance once

the way ahead is clear. Equally beneficial, BLIS

Safety in depth.

The standard Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS),

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and 7 airbags mean Escape is

designed to help you steer clear of an accident, or, if a collision is

unavoidable, to help minimize its potential consequences.

Active Grille Shutters

help boost

fuel economy by closing at higher

speeds to reduce aerodynamic drag.

Get in and go.

Fumbling around in an effort to find your ignition

key can be frustrating. Keyless Start with FordPower Button lets

you start your Escape with the key still in your pocket or bag.

Just get in, depress the brake pedal, press the button and you’re

off … simple as that.
