ASSISTANT COACHES

RANDY BENNETT Randy Bennett begins his fourth year at the University of San Diego as a full-time assistant to coach Hank Egan. His primary responsibilities will be in the areas of recruiting, scouting and on-court coaching. Prior to his 1988 appointment at the University of San Diego, Randy coached two seasons (1986-88) with the University of Idaho as a part-time assistant. Their 1987-88 team finished 19-11 and second in the Big Sky Conference. Before his stint with Idaho, he was a volunteer assistant at USO (1985-86) while finishing his undergraduate degree at the University of Califor– nia, San Diego. The past four summers he has directed Hank Egan's Boys Basketball Camps. A 1986 graduate of UC San Diego, Randy received his S.S.

degree in Animal Physiology. He played two years of basketball at UC San Diego (1983-85) and two years at Mesa Community College (1980-82) in Mesa, AZ under his dad, Tom Bennett. In his two years at Mesa, the team went 56-10 and made it to the nationals his freshman year. Randy, currently working on his M.A. in Education, is single and resides in San Diego.

TODD LEE Todd Lee begins his third year as full-time assistant coach to Hank Egan. His primary duties will include recruiting, scouting and on– court coaching. The 27-year-old Lee is a 1986 graduate of the University of South Dakota where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is currently working on his Master of Science degree in Physical Education with em– phasis on coaching and teaching.

This past summer Todd organized and co-directed the Sec– ond Annual USO High School Team Camp. He has assisted with the Boys Basketball Camps at USO the past three summers. Prior to assisting the University of San Diego staff, Todd was an assistant basketball coach at Southwestern Junior College in Chula Vista, California, for two seasons (1987-88, 1988-89). Todd is single and resides in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.
