throughout the year. An annual membership for a whole family is just £39 with a small additional cost for the floodlighting when it’s needed. You can also ‘pay and play’ with the easy booking tool on the council’s website and through the ‘Clubspark’ app on your mobile phone. Coaching is also available, with children’s and adult’s courses available to book through the website, in partnership with the National Tennis Association.
Newbury Bowls Club, which was founded in 1598, is located in Victoria Park. It is a friendly well-established and active club situated in the heart of the park. NEWBURY Town Council has three outdoor gyms – the newest, installed in 2018, is located at Blossom’s Field in Wash Common. There is also outdoor fitness equipment, with both cardio and resistance training at Digby Road and in Victoria Park, and they are all free to use for everyone. Victoria Park’s recently refurbished tennis courts have floodlighting so you can play into the evening and early mornings
