Engelberg natives Leonie van Muyden and Pascal Dubler have turned their passion for textile printing into their own business. Their shop Bermuda on Dorfstrasse sells more than just fairly produced printed bags and clothing – it takes customers on a small journey of discov- ery to a shopping paradise that promises a sackful of surprises. It a ll began with a tote bag: “I was looking ever ywhere for a cool new bag, but to no avail,” says Leonie. She then decided to print her own pat tern on a bag herself. Her

The f irst two f loors are retail space, and the young couple live in the apar tment above. In order to minimise the risks involved with new star t-ups, they both a lso have par t-time jobs on the side. But they dedicate a lmost a ll of their f ree time to the shop. “It ’s like a hobby for us. We enjoy ever y thing that comes with running the business,” says Leonie. The couple have a straightforward approach to business: “We just want to have a good time!” And when you see them in ac tion, you can tell that ’s not just a cliché but a rea l passion. “Even though we share a sma ll apar tment and run the shop together, we don’ t get on each other’s ner ves.
