Здание расположено в западной части территории, обозначенной архитектурным конкурсом. Малая площадь в плане здания позволяет сохранить существующую зеленую зону полностью. На северной гра- нице участка железнодорожная насыпь засыпается, таким образом, площадь зеленой зоны увеличится на 20 %. Новая территория станет частью городской территории, оснащенной дорожками для легкого транспорта, с нее же открывается неповторимый вид на реку Каму. Су- ществующий парк сохранится зеленым поясом, разделяющим город и новый музей. Прогулочную территорию вдоль реки со зданием музея соединит пешеходный мост, который пройдет над прибрежным пар- ком и железнодорожной линией. Вместо точного формирования фасадов проектирование началось с моделирования основных форм деятельности с присущими им осо- бенностями. Такой подход дает возможность создать плавный переход от одного вида деятельности к другой; сформировать приятные мес- та для встреч, возможность побыть наедине, поработать, заняться ис- следовательской деятельностью, а также отдохнуть. Многочисленные открытые для обзора залы дают возможность временам года и погоде создавать идиллическую атмосферу в помещениях. The building will be located in the western part of the territo- ry specified by the conditions of the Architectural Contest. The small total area of the building will give an opportunity to com- pletely preserve the existing green zone. On the northern border of the site the railway embankment will be leveled, and thus the area of the green zone will increase by 20 %. The new terri- tory will become a part of the city territory, in which there will be paths for the light vehicles and from which the unique view on the Kama River will open. The existing park will be preserved as a green belt separating the city from the territory of the new museum. A foot-bridge, which will run over the riverside park and the railroad, will connect the pedestrian zone along the river with the Museum building. Instead of working over the elevations the design process started with modeling the basic forms of different activities and their intrinsic features. Such approach enables to ensure a smooth transition from one type of activity to another. It also gives an opportunity to create nice places for meetings and staying alone, to work, to do re- searches or to have a rest. Numerous visually open halls allow different seasons and weather to create an idyllic atmosphere in the rooms. For the interior furnishing polished concrete and a dark wood are chosen.
