ДИТЕР БОГНЕР (Dieter Bogner) – известный австрийский искусствовед, автор более 15 программ по развитию музеев в странах Ев- ропы и Америки: музея в Граце (архитектор Питер Кук), музея Пауля Клее в Берне (архи- тектор Ренцо Пиано), «Музейного кварта- ла» в Вене, плана музеефикации Зальцбурга. пермская государственная художествен- ная галерея – один из крупнейших художес- твенных музеев урала. сейчас она распола- гается в кафедральном соборе XIX столетия, который вскоре будет возвращен церкви. по- явилась необходимость в строительстве ново- го здания, куда будет переведена коллекция галереи. правительство пермского края при- няло решение построить современное здание, отвечающее самым последним международ- ным требованиям. планируется создать но- вый музейный центр с новым названием и но- вым содержанием, который стал бы символом города и одним из важных культурных объ- ектов России. по поручению Министерства культуры и молодежной политики пермско- го края центр современной архитектуры про- водит амбициозный архитектурный конкурс с международным участием на лучший проект нового музейного центра, концепция которо- го была разработана известным австрийским музеологом дитером Богнером. цель конкурса – разработка лучшего архи- тектурного проекта значимого, оригинального и в то же время функционального здания му- зейного центра PermMuseumXXI (рабочее на- звание), отвечающего мировым запросам ХХ1 века, в котором можно было бы представить одну из важных российских художественных коллекций. в соответствии с концепцией в новом зда- нии будет применен нелинейный экспозици- онный принцип, включающий в себя не толь- ко различные разделы музейной коллекции, но и кросс-культурные тематические выстав- ки из собрания музея. новый музей будет со- четать регулярную выставочную деятельность с большим спектром различных мероприя- тий и широкой образовательной активнос- тью. новый музейный центр должен не толь-

The perm state Art Gallery is one of the largest art museums in the Urals. At present it is located in a 19th century Cathedral, which will soon be returned to the orthodox Church. That is why there is a great necessity to construct a new building, to which the collection of the Art Gallery may be transferred. The Govern- ment of the permski Krai (territory) has adopted a decision to construct a modern building, which will meet all the latest in- ternational requirements. It is planned to create a new museum centre, which would become the symbol of the city and one of the most important cultural sites of russia. on behalf of the Min- istry of Culture and Youth policy of the permski Krai, the Centre of Modern Architecture has organized an International Architec- tural Contest for the best design of the new museum centre, the concept of which has been developed by the well-known Austrian museologist Dieter Bogner. The aim of the Contest is to develop the best architectural de- sign of the perm Museum Center, the building of which should be significant, original and at the same time functional. permMuse- umXXI (the working name of the project) should correspond to the global requirements of the 21st century in the field of muse- um environment, in which it would be possible to present one of the most significant russian art collections. According to the concept, the design of the new building will be developed on the base of the nonlinear exposition principle, which means that it will include not only various permanent sec- tions of the museum collection, but also cross-cultural thematic exhibitions from the museum vaults. The new museum will com- bine regular exhibition activities with a large spectrum of vari- ous cultural events and a wide variety of educational programs. The new Museum Centre will not only stimulate the development of the cultural level of the city and the permski Krai population, but also facilitate the continuous process of modernization of the russian museum world. It will become a new cultural centre of
