AUGUST 2018 BEACON

With Labor Day Weekend being an official party weekend, I would like to remind everyone of the Island Well policy: On party weekends as identified by the Board of Directors, each member is allowed to use one (1) well only. However, a member may have another boat in their well providing it does not interfere with traffic or become a docking hazard. No second boat will be allowed in a second well from 12:00 noon Friday until 12:00 noon Sunday on Board designated party weekends. The OD or Week Manager has the right to move any boat that hinders ingress or egress in the harbor or to a well entrance. “Roping off" or "Reserving" of wells is not permitted. A well is open and available when not occupied by the member's principal boat. Members are asked to cooperate in choosing a slip befitting the size of their boat. If a member has a boat on the island over night that member must stay the night on the island except for the Commodore. All island wells are for members use. Visiting yachtsmen are restricted to designated visitor wells unless approved by the OD or Week Manager. Boats and dinghies must enter and leave docks in the direction posted. The Finrunner sea wall area is a loading area and docking is not permitted.

See you on the Island, V/C Ian Blackburn
