IAAO Committees

Many members of the Florida Chapter of IAAO are also members on IAAO Committees. The FCIAAO was recently well represented at the first Kansas City IAAO Leadership Days held the week of February 8th, 2013.

The chairman of each committee diligently prepares in advance a meeting agenda and an IAAO staff member is assigned to each committee. Minutes are taken and later sub- mitted for a report to the IAAO Board of Directors.

Members of the Florida Chapter of IAAO who participated as committee members and who were present at Leadership days include: Name (Jurisdiction) Committee Lainie Claudio (Marion County) Member Services Ed Crapo (Alachua County) “Super Chair” Sheila Crapo (Alachua County) Communications Tracy Drake (Clay County) Councils and Sections Colleen Keene (Alachua County) Conference Content Bill Wadsworth (Affiliate Member) Chair CEAA Alice Weinberg (Seminole County) CEAA Special Committee Over 65 committee members were present for the two day session designed to expedite committee assignments and allow an opportunity for a face to face meeting with staff and fellow team members. Another objective of Leadership Days is to allow the coordi- nation of efforts between committees allowing a better understanding of each group’s goals. Committee appointments are made annually by the current IAAO President and ap- proved by the Board of Directors. The second Leadership Days will be held the first week of November to follow up on committee goals and to assess the outcome of IAAO’s International Conference on Assessment Administration.
