Players to Watch

From Fairfield University: Rachel Romansky, Marilyn Peizer, & Hayley Moyer Romanski, a senior and last year’s MAAC Setter of the Year, ranks 4th in assists per set averaging 9.81 with 579 assists in 59 conference sets. Peizer, a junior, ranks 4th in kills per set averaging 3.34 with 234 assists in 70 conference sets. She also ranks 5th in points per set averaging 3.77 with 264 points in 70 conference sets. Moyer, a senior, ranks 1st in hitting percentage with a .374 mark in 70 conference sets. She had 162 kills and 31 errors in 350 total attempts. From Marist College: Mackenzie Stephens, Audra Brady, & Brooke Zywich Stephens, a junior, ranks 2nd in hitting percentage with a .339 mark in 67 conference sets. She had 227 kills, ranking 3rd with a 3.39 kills per set average, and 57 errors in 501 total attempts. Stephens also totaled 64 blocked shots ranking 6th, averaging 0.96 per set. Stephens ranks 3rd in points per set averaging 3.91 with 262 points in 67 conference sets. Brady, a senior, ranks 3rd in assists per set averaging 11.06 with 730 assists in 66 conference sets. Zywich, a junior, ranks 2nd in digs per set averaging 4.90 with 328 in 67 conference sets. From Iona College: Catrina Warren, Natalie Ziskin, & Alicja Pawelec Warren, a junior, ranks 2nd in kills per set averaging 3.80 with 228 kills in 60 conference sets. She also ranks 2nd in points per set averaging 4.28 with 256.5 points in 60 conference sets. Ziskin, a sophomore, ranks 2nd in assists per set averaging 11.16 with 759 assists in 68 conference sets. Pawelec, a senior, ranks 5th in kills per set averaging 3.15 with 211 kills in 67 conference sets. She ranks 3rd in service aces per set averaging 0.39 with 26 service aces in 67 conference sets, while also ranking 4th in points per set averaging 3.78 with 253 points in 67 conference sets. From Manhattan College: Ellie Weikamp, Sydney Volvoski, & Allie Yamashiro Weikamp, a senior, ranks 8th in kills per set averaging 2.98 with 182 kills in 61 conference sets. She also ranks 10th in points per set averaging 3.24 with 197.5 points in 61 conference sets. Volvoski, a sophomore and the 2012 MAAC Rookie of the Year, ranks just outside the top ten in kills per set averaging 2.71 with 187 kills in 69 conference sets. Yamashiro, a freshman, ranks 9th in digs per set averaging 4.10 with 283 in 69 conference sets.
