tomorrow. I want to thank P/C Scott Bell, Bill Calihan, Ron Kemp, Ed Romatz, John Sweier and John Lutz for helping get the windows from the mainland to the island. They were considerably heavier than they looked. Rear-Commodore’s Comments Rear Commodore, Ian Blackburn I’d like to thank everybody for their efforts to close up the club for the winter. We’re on the home stretch for 2017. There are a few tasks that weren’t completed, such as by-law changes. Let’s make sure that we’re ready to hit the ground running in 2018 to get the committees in place to finish those efforts. Financial Report Treasurer, Brian Fringer The financial report was distributed via e-mail prior to the meeting and summarized. October 2017 revenue was $ 32,000 which included the $10,000 donation from the First Mates. The inventory and gift cards have been adjusted, and we’re up about $16,000 over last year. A few events remain to be reconciled. MOTION: Moved by Scott Greenfelder and seconded by Bill Calihan to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried ABYA Report P/C Chuck Stroh Absent – No Report Correspondence All The ABYA requested that the Spring Dinner Dance be held at NCYC the weekend of June 1 ST in 2018. Official approval will be deferred to the 2018 Board of Directors. CURRENT BUSINESS Activities – Tom Martin One more activity needs to be finalized; it will be ready for the December meeting. Club House – Scott Greenfelder The clubhouse is closed. There is about 80 ft 2 of tile that needs to be installed. Harbor & Grounds – Bill Calihan All of the winterization is complete. There was significant damage to the sprinkler system. The weed control company requested a deposit for the State of Michigan permit for next year; Bill will send them a check. Ron’s Marine was contracted to do the ice clusters. The Robison seawall was inspected; a quote to install 112 feet of seawall (including drains) can be installed next fall for $32,368. Membership – Kim Miedema Two members that took advantage of the split initiation fee paid off their balance this month. Publications – Ron Draper No Report
