Transportation – Darryl Campbell Fin 1 and Fin 2 are out of the water. Fin 3 will remain in the water until the windows are complete. Signs were ordered for the parking lot to deter outside traffic. Fleet Captain – P/C Tom McHugh No Report NEW BUSINESS Manager’s Apartment Policy : Scott Greenfelder Draft wording for the revision of the Manager’s Apartment Policy was distributed, read, discussed and adjusted to read: The manager’s apartment may only be used by the on-duty week day manager or the weekend OD from the start to finish of their shift. The current manager or OD has first right of refusal to occupy the manager’s apartment. No other use of the manager’s apartment will be allowed. MOTION: Moved by Bill Calihan and seconded by Ron Draper to approve the Manager’s Apartment Policy revision as stated above. Motion Carried Work or Pay : All Correspondence was distributed to the board prior to the meeting regarding Pete & Pam Poirier and Chuck Penzien. The board discussed that their work party hours would be waived this year. MOTION: Moved by R/C Ian Blackburn and seconded by Bill Calihan to waive Pete & Pam Poirier’s work party hours for 2017 due to miscommunication, and that we send a certified letter explaining that hosting an outside rendezvous at the club does not qualify as an event in future in accordance with NCYC Policies and By-Laws. Motion Carried MOTION: Moved by Bill Calihan and seconded by Scott Greenfelder to waive Chuck Penzien’s work party hours for 2017. Motion Carried Insurance Committee Report : P/C Tom McHugh Insurance can be maintained for the building and grounds (as in the past for $2.4 M) at a cost of $26,000 per year. The mechanical equipment (compressors, a/c units, etc.) can be added on for an additional $750 per year. The board discussed getting an appraisal to ensure that our coverage is adequate to replace our building; the independent appraiser is experienced in appraising island properties and yacht clubs. MOTION: Moved by Bill Calihan and seconded by Ron Draper to spend $2200 for an updated appraisal to cover replacement cost. Motion Carried MOTION: Moved by Scott Greenfelder and seconded by Darryl Campbell to authorize insurance payment for the building and grounds at the current value for up to $27,000. Motion Carried
