JANUARY 2018 BEACON

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year As I write this article, Christmas is fast approaching and it allows us time to pause and reflect on the past year. We also give thanks for all that we have been blessed with such as Family, Friends and good times in 2017. With 2018 just days away, we can look forward to a new beginning, a new determination for better times ahead. Another chance to make a difference in our life and in the lives of others. Linda and I are both proud and humbled to be taking the helm as Commodore of the North Channel Yacht Club for this coming season. Looking back, there has been greatness and achievement in each and every Commodore that has led this Club throughout the years. I will do my upmost to uphold the standards that have been set and traditions that all of you have come to love about NCYC. That is my commitment to you and I hope you will work with me to make 2018 a year to remember. Please join me to experience the events held for your enjoyment and entertainment. I am excited to begin working with our new Board and Flag for 2018. The Club business continues even as the island sleeps through the winter months. It is remarkable to see the volunteerism of our membership going so strong. I will be sending a “Fan-out” shortly with the new Calendar of Events for 2018. Our membership Director, Debbie Siwek, will also be mailing the dues notices in the next several days also. Lastly, I hope you join Linda and me on January 20, 2018 at Villa Penna’s on Hayes in Sterling Heights for the Commodore’s Ball. I would be honored to have you celebrate with us in this annual gala event. Regards, Commodore Randy
