JANUARY 2018 BEACON

Welcome to 2018! Although we long for the warmer days, Marie and I love the Winter Holiday season. I hope that everyone had a chance to spend some quality time with their family and loved ones. NCYC 2018 will be in full swing starting with the Commodore’s Ball on January 20 th . Let’s welcome and honor Commodore Randy Pagel and his Lady Linda with our attendance at this stately event. I would like to acknowledge the 2018 leadership posts: Commodore Randy Pagel, First Mates President Josette Campbell and the Ancient Mariners President Archie Archibald. Thank you so much for your direction, dedication and selflessness. I also welcome the new Rear Commodore Bill Calihan along with the new board members: Tom Altobelli (BOD), Greg Brigman (Board Recorder) Ken Lipowski (Fleet Captain) and Debbie Siwek (BOD). I look forward to working with each of you and there is no doubt that we have a great team for 2018!!! Lastly, I would like to mention that the NCYC Board meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the Month at Penne Lane in Clinton Township, meeting starts at 7:00PM. For the summer months (June, July & August), they will be at NCYC. Please know that these are open meetings so feel free to come out and attend whether you would like to observe a meeting or if you have anything for the Good of the Order. As always, if you are unable to attend but would like your voice heard, please reach out to any Flag Officer or Director with your concerns or comments and they will be addressed during the meeting.
