We all wonder what House Captains really do; besides aim to coerce us into the pool at Swimming Carnival, however ineffective that has proven to be. Is there a shimmering light of humour behind those, for lack of a better word, stern assembly speeches and carnival pep talks, in the midst? Let’s find out, we took to interviewing five of our House Captains, Maro, Ali, Olivier, Lewis and Crystal, where we came to the conclusion that these were the answers that best encapsulated the life of a House Captain, so to speak. 1. If you had to switch captaincy positions with someone, who would it be?  Andrews House Captain, just to see what constant disappointment feels like. 2. What’s your most useless hidden talent?  Screaming in Skype calls 3. Describe the colour red to a blind person?  Hot, fiery, in your face- reddish 4. Solve the riddle: “You have to cut a cake into 8 equal pieces, but you can only make 3 cuts with a knife- how do you do it?” and no you can’t just make one long cut without taking the knife out  Verbally roast the cake until it physically shatters 5. if you had to choose one song that plays every time you walk into a room for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Bad and Boujee- Can’t Touch This Remix  Pink Panther Theme Song 6. What kitchen utensil would you be and why?  A wooden spoon because I love to stir beef up  A knife so I can dice it up 7. Pick two celebrities to be your parents (dead or alive)?  Signor and Madonna  Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively 8. What’s your most embarrassing House Captain moment?  Losing to Matt Smith 9. If you had to come up with a new motto for your House, what would it be?  Showtime Baby (Andrews)  Unlucky, better next time (Laver)
