LOD is some cases and in other cases set the LOQ as the lowest calibration. LOQs are calculated. Reporting limits are arbitrarily set. The "LOQ" should be renamed "LOQ/Reporting Limit". Also the statement "... and the LOD was calculated as 1/3 of the LOQ" should be removed. Again, this statement assigns an arbitrary value to the LOD. The following suggestions refer to the MLT report. 1. The Annex G links need to be activated. 2. Page 13 SRM 1568b Rice Flour Results, Arsenic - The SMPR requirements should be 80 - 115% since arsenic in > 100ppb. 3. Page 15 Infant Formula QC Material Results, Arsenic - The SMPR requirements should be 80 - 115% since arsenic was > 100ppb. 4. SMPR Tab of Worksheet in F SPSFAM Conformity Assessment Heavy Metals August 2018 OMA 2015.01 AOAC 2015_01 MLT Report -1.2.xlsx - The results for mercury and lead should be "< 10 LOQ" for the SRM 1568B Rice to be consistent with other samples.
