MULTI LABORATORY TEST

SRM 1946 Lake Superior Fish Tissue All thirteen participating laboratories reported results for SRM 1946 Lake Superior Fish Tissue including the four Heavy Metal analytes, Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury and Lead. The raw data, precision and trueness data are shown in the tables below. Arsenic: Lab 6, 9, 11 and 13 results were excluded from the precision determination for not meeting the SMPR recovery requirement of 60-115%. The 9 labs used for the precision determination reported a RSD(r) value of 8.1 and a RSD(R) value of 10.7. Both precision results meet the requirements of the SMPR. Cadmium: All data reported was considered for the precision determination excluding the non-numeric LOQ results. The 6 labs used for the precision determination reported an overall mean of 2.8 which is below the SMPR requirement of 10 µg/kg. Mercury: Lab 6 results were excluded from the precision determination for not meeting the SMPR recovery requirement of 60-115%. The 12 labs used for the precision determination reported a RSD(r) value of 6.4 and a RSD(R) value of 15.7. Both precision results meet the requirements of the SMPR. Lead: All reported results were excluded from the precision determination. The results indicate the study material may not be homogeneous with respect to Lead.
