IRFU ULSTER BRANCH

PRESIDENT’S WELCOME

OFFICERS Bobby Stewart // President John McKibbin // Senior Vice President Graffin Parke // Junior Vice President John McKibbin // Honorary Secretary Michael Boyd // Honorary Treasurer Denis Gardiner // Competitions Secretary EXECUTIVE TEAM Shane Logan // Chief Executive Chris Webster // Domestic Rugby Manager Audrey Robinson // Financial Controller Fiona Hampton // Head of Sales & Marketing

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to Kingspan Stadium for this Guinness PRO12 match against Benetton Treviso.

Iain Henderson, Chris Henry, Paddy Jackson and Jared Payne, and I wish Joe Schmidt and all his players every success on Sunday against Italy and the following week against France. A win over Italy will secure a quarter final place but I am sure that they will want to beat France and top the group. The Domestic season is well and truly under way. I’m delighted to report that the majority of Ulster’s teams have enjoyed a promising start to their Ulster Bank League campaigns, and it was great to see so many out supporting the Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup games last weekend. I hope that you all enjoy the game and give Treviso a great reception this evening. Good luck to Ulster and remember STAND UP FOR THE ULSTERMEN! Bobby Stewart // President IRFU (Ulster Branch)

I would particularly like to welcome the committee, members, players and supporters from Italy. You are all very welcome and I hope you enjoy your time in Belfast. It is just under three weeks since our last match and I hope the players and their families enjoyed their time off. Tonight’s game is only the third round of PRO12 matches this season and both teams will be desperate for a successful outcome. Ulster had a good win against Ospreys but were disappointing at Scarlets and Benetton Treviso have lost narrowly to Munster and Edinburgh. Ulster will need to produce the same sort of form that they displayed against Ospreys if they are to get a result tonight. Since the last match the World Cup has started and Ireland has had two very good wins over Canada and Romania. I congratulate them, especially the Ulster players, Rory Best, Tommy Bowe, Darren Cave,
