EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION GUIDE

Digital Menu Board

General Contractor 1. Responsible to provide adequate plywood backing in walls to hang the menu board and valance shelving. 2. The GC is responsible to ensure all finishes (FRP, ceramic tile, quarry tile, or other finishes) are completed and the valance wall is ready for menu board installation.

Electrical Contractor 1. Verify each electrical receptacle for correct voltage.

Owner Operator 1. Order and coordinate with proper AT&T contractor.

Toasters, Q-ing Ovens, U.H.C. Cabinets, & Heated Tables

KES Installer 1. Unpack, inspect and place in appropriate position if kitchen conditions allow. 2. Plug in and perform quick check to ensure operation. This is dependent on electrical work being completed.

Undercounter & Reach-in Refrigeration

KES Installer 1. Unpack, inspect and place in appropriate position if kitchen conditions allow. 2. Plug in and perform quick check to ensure operation.

Frozen Fry Dispenser

KES Installer 1. Place fry dispenser in place and perform quick check to see if it is operating. This is dependent on electrical work being completed. 2. Run overnight. Unit must reach 0°-10°F in 1.5 hours.

Small Parts Carton

Cartons with small parts (mustard dispensers, bagging scoops, etc.) and accessories should not be opened until completion of the installation. If cartons containing small parts and accessories are opened without the installer’s permission, any items short when final inventory has been taken will not be the responsibility of the kitchen equip ment supplier and will not be replaced without charge.

Stockroom Shelving

Denstor or H&K mobile stockroom shelving is a needed component to the KES installation. These shelving units are used to store and sort parts during the kitchen equipment delivery. Shelving must be installed complete prior to equipment arrival. Installation of the shelving is handled by Denstor or the KES Installer. It is the responsibility of the general contractor (GC) to receive, accept and unload the shelving system. The GC will inspect for damage and store on site. If there is any damage to the shelving, the GC must annotate damage on the bill of lading (shipping ticket) prior to accepting delivery, and will notify the ACM. The ACM will notify Denstor or the KES that damage was present. Denstor will be responsible to file all claims for damage with their shipping contractor. The GC is responsible for safe storage and protection of the shelving until the installer arrives. On site storage must follow manufacturer’s instructions and procedures to avoid damage
