In the case of market share, there are only minor changes over time. European carmakers lose 4 percentage points over time from 2006 to 2023 (72% in 2023). Japanese carmakers have remained stable at around 12% and, on the other hand, Korean brands have seen an increase in the share of new passenger car registrations (from 4 % in 2006 to 13% in 2023).
