Harrison rode Lula, the reserve champion for the 2018 PRCA | AQHA Team Roping Heeling Horse of the Year title. “She scores good and fast, and Chad has a fast head horse, so you need a fast heel horse,” Harrison said. With so many competitions in multiple places, often at the same time, the duo is tackling the summer run with three horses each. Before Reno, Masters and Harrison ranked 12th and 13th, respectively, in the PRCA | RAM World Standings. The $7,371 they scored in Reno pushed them to ninth and seventh, respectively. “We’re excited and hopefully we can have a good summer,” Masters said. “We are going to win a lot,” Harrison added. The duo didn’t wait for the dust to settle after receiving their Silver Spurs, as they hit the road for Cowboy Christmas. “Did I mention we are going to win?” Harrison laughed. $24K World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey won $24,824 in Reno this year – $12,543 during the Reno Rodeo and $12,281 at the Reno Rodeo Xtreme Bulls. Before this year, Kimzey had never won either competition in Reno. Sage Kimzey dominated in Reno.
