Roughstock riders battle in All-Around As of July 9, the race to win the 2019 season’s all-around cowboy gold buckle was littered with competitors who compete in roughstock events. Stetson Wright, who competes in bull riding and saddle bronc riding, led the way with $105,416. Daylon Swear- ingen competes in bull riding, bareback riding and saddle bronc riding and was seventh in the all-around. Among the top eight competitors in the PRCA | RAM World Standings for the all- around, five compete in at least one roughstock event. The last cowboy to win the all-around award as a roughtsock com- petitor was Ty Murray who did it in 1998 in bull riding and saddle bronc riding.

93.5 + 100 = Cody Stampede The 100th edition of the Cody (Wyo.) Stampede saw a historic bareback ride. Caleb Bennett posted a 93.5-point ride on Frontier Rodeo’s Gun Fire. That’s the fifth-highest scored ride in PRCA history. Only four other rides have hit 94. Impressively, Bennett needed the 93.5 to win the rodeo. Four days prior, Orin Larsen notched a 93-point ride on C5 Rodeo’s Make Up Face.
