*The reasons for Seasons is a big misconception for people. Most people believe the reason for seasons is because the Earth is further away from the sun in the winter time. Ensure that students know that the reason for seasons is because of how the Earth is tilted. Consider showing this video. I am learning to graph, so that I can show how temperature changes during seasons. Success Criteria: I’ll know I’m successful when I can make a graph and look for patterns. I am learning about Earth’s climate, so that I can explain why climates are different depending on how far away you are from the equator. Success Criteria: I’ll know I’m successful when I can describe two different climates on Earth and compare them. I can use information from activities and readings to make a claim and explain why the tree changes throughout the year. Success Criteria: I’ll know I’m successful when I can make a claim and support it with evidence from the texts and activities.
