First Grade PALS

Peer Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) is designed to provide systematic and explicit and instruction in phonological decoding and comprehension practice. PALS should be used skills-based small group instruction for students in groups 1,2,3,4. The Instructional alignment on the following page describes which lessons to use during skills-based instruction. It may also be used during whole group instruction for at-risk student populations.
