3123 廣州經上海至迪化的航空封 Airmail Cover from Canton to Tihwa, transit via Shanghai

After WWII, airmail letters from Canton to Sinkiang were primarily transferred through the Shanghai Post Office.​ 第二次世界大戰後, 廣州寄往新疆的航空函件，主要是通過上海郵局轉發的。​ ​ A cover mailed to Tihwa, Sinkiang, from Canton on 25th November 1949. Franked with one revenue stamp overprinted as an ordinary mail unit stamp and one airmail unit stamp, consistent with 15 fen for ordinary airmail postage. It would appear that this letter transited through Shanghai on 16th December. It arrived in Tihwa, on 10th January 1950, having travelled for more than one month. In fact, since their liberations (i.e. Canton on 14th October and Shanghai on 27th May), air service was no longer available to the two cities. At best this letter could only be handled by expressed service.​ 所示的實寄封是1949年11月25日由廣州寄新疆迪化，貼印花稅票加蓋平信單位郵票及航空單位郵票各1枚，符合平航15分 資費。表面看來這封信是同年12月16日途經上海，1950年1月10日到達目的地迪化，郵程長達1個多月‧其實廣州和上海 由它們的解放日並始(即1949年10月14日和1949年5月27目) 己無空郵服務, 此信只可以用快遞處理。​ HK$ 17,000 - 20,000
