3074 柳州國內郵資已付-解放當日 Liuchow Domestic Postage Paid - Date of Liberation Cover

Mailed on 24th November 1949 from Liuchow (49.12.25), 6th February 1950 transited via Chungking (49.11.30), 11th February arrived in Niekiang (49.12.07); franked with Liuchow Domestic Postage Paid Handstamp indicating the payment of 5 fen Domestic postage. Amazingly, it was business as usual in the Liuchow Post Office amid intensive gunfires on the day preceding to liberation. Furthermore, Chungking at that time was already a liberated area and yet its post office continued to handle mails from Nationalist controlled area.
