WENDY and IRA WEINSTEIN , of Le Havre Drive, are very recent newcomers, having just arrived at Frenchman’s in the beginning of December. Both are originally from Westchester County, New York and still have a home in Scarsdale.

They are the parents of four children – one girl and three boys – whose homes range from Los Angeles to Boston to New York – and are the grandparents of nine, ranging in age from one to seventeen years of age. Now retired, both Wendy and Ira had careers in market research. They are among the many members of Braeburn Country Club up north who have been drawn to Frenchman’s Creek. They looked at various communities in Florida, but during six years of a time share at the neighboring Ritz Carlton, and visiting friends and spending weekends here, they knew Frenchman’s was their first choice. They love the range of activities, the size of the community and the warmth of the Creekers, and after speaking about it for years, are happy to be here.

Welcome to newcomers Connie and Michael Forman of Dijon Way. Connie was originally from Wynnewood, PA and Michael from North Cauldwell, NJ., but they have lived in New York City all their married life. Connie was a 5 th grade teacher at a Solomon Schechter school in Westchester, NY, and is now retired. Michael is still a practicing attorney. They have 2 sons and 2 daughters and are blessed with 10 grandchildren. Golf was a big part of their lives and they belong to Brae Burn Country Club in Westchester. A lot of friends from New Jersey and New York City, as well as Brae Burn, influenced their move to Frenchman’s Creek, and they are very happy with that decision. In addition to golf, they love the outdoor life and fitness activities, and Connie plays bridge and canasta. They take advantage of as much of the cultural activities as they can, such as films, lectures and concerts. With all the friends, old and new, and the activities here, they love Frenchman’s Creek. Sharon and Michael Strongin, of Degas Drive East, are another new couple introduced to Frenchman’s Creek by friends from Brae Burn Country Club in Westchester, NY, the most instrumental of whom were the Kovels. Michael, originally from Long Island, and Sharon, originally from Rhode Island, met as students at Boston University, where Michael was in the six year undergraduate/medical school program. He did his residency at Cornell/New York , and then moved to Scarsdale, where they lived for 30 years. They also had an apartment in New York City. Ten years ago they sold Scars- dale and moved to the Ritz in White Plains. Michael practiced OB/GYN for 40 years, delivering more than 5,000 babies. He was president of the New York Gynecologic Society and Chief of Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital. Sharon did a lot of volunteer work and later worked in the office. Their son and daughter-in-law and 2 children live in Michigan and their daughter and son-in-law and three children live in Tampa. They are thrilled with their move here and love every- thing about it -- the activities, mainly golf, bridge and pickleball, and especially the people and the services. We are happy to welcome them to Frenchman’s Creek.
