SPA Facebook and Twitter highlights from April to June 2014 included... Thank you for supporting the National Conference!

Above: Speech pathologist Professor Leanne Togher appeared on ABC Radio's Conversations with Richard Fidler on 21 May. Prof Togher works as a communications disorder specialist at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Health Sciences, and she discussed the work she conducts with people who have a sudden loss of communication due to acquired brain injury (ABI), the majority of these injuries occurring in young men who have been in road accidents. While working at Lidcombe Hospital in the Brain Injury Unit, Prof Togher investigated ways in which family and friends of a person with ABI can work together to help improve their loved one's communication. A fascinating listen!

It was great to meet so many of our existing ICP2014 Communication Champions at the SPA stand during this year's National Conference, as well as having the chance to welcome some new Champions on board when they visited the stand to sign the ICP2014 Pledge!
