Object of desire

Heavy metal

It may look like a giant honeycomb. Or a modern artwork. But our object of desire is, in fact, a loudspeaker, curiously named Ironic. It was designed by little-known, Pennsylvania-based company Oswalds Mill Audio (OMA) that makes the kinds of loudspeakers and amplifiers that could sit in an art gallery just as comfortably as in your living room. Only 10 have been cast, each from an individual 3D printed mold, and it is made of iron. Hence the name. From $95,000, oswaldsmillaudio.com
