His duties include coordinat– ing radio and TV, producing media guides, press releases, brochures and game programs for nu– merous Torero sports. worked for the Chicago Bears Football Club for four seasons and started its Alumni Department where she planned events and appearances for former players as well as planned and managed training camp operations. From Chicago, Illinois, Kara rccei,·ed her BBr\ and 1\ lt\ in Sports 1\ lanagement from Western 1\[ichigan Universit1· \\·here she earned a full athletic scholarship for gymnastics. She is a White Sox fan. Her two sisters, l,elly and kristen, have their master's degrees from L.:SD.

A. in Communications with an emphasis in public relations from Cal State Fullerton. He is currently working on his master's in sport and athletic admirustration from Gonzaga.

Angie Gatza started at US O in July 2009. Her re– sponsibilities include the purchasing, maintenance, fitti ng, organization and distribution of ec1uipment for all seventeen varsity sports at USO. Prior to US O, Angie worked at San Diego State Unjversity as an Assistant 1\.lanager of equipment services from 2004-2009. She helped supervise a staff of 3 full-time assistants and 12 student managers in the daily operations of an Athletic Equipment Ser–

Matthew Parr Athletic Facilities & Operations

Sarabeth Pollock begins her fifth year as the Coordinator of Athletic Academic Support for USO. She has worked as a tutor in the Athletic De– partment since the fall of 200 1. She serves as the academic advisor for all sports except Football and Rowing. Her responsibilities include the supervi– sion of the Study Hall and the administration of the tutoring and mentoring programs. Currently, the Academic Support Program employs over 25

Matthew Parr enters his third year with the USO athletics department as the Assistant D irector for Facilities and Operations. He assists Andy Fee in overseeing all the sched– uling, fiel d maintenance and purchasing for the departn1ent's athletic venues. Prior to USO, Parr was a work study student under Andy Fee and John Martin for four years and was also a member of the USD cross country

Sarabeth graduated from USO in 2002 in the Honors Program, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Pobtical Science and History. She speaks Spanish and French Auently. t\ 5th generation San Diegan, she resides in Point Loma with her family. In her spare time, Sarabeth enjoys working on her novel that she hopes to have published eventually.
