Ten Poems

To Schubert, Schiller, inside endless music, Then to the skyscrapers, to Manhattan, To the seven years’ war, To a country, to the wine of literature it pours, Italy, Rome burning within the Renaissance, Then Verona, Venice, Vicenza, Naples, Siena… Afterwards you burn in every city, perhaps with a river So that you can regenarate yourself again… Love flows into wine, the rose into the nightingale, Hafiz is in that mirror, From an undying love into an open secret, The world flows and spills over, With your soul eternally blending into colour…

Goethe was one of my five brothers, Perhaps I am dead now but he is still alive. In having more light! O, dedicate your love to me, immortality
