Preparing for Re-Occupancy…

As the conversation changes to how firms can open following COVID-19 guidelines for employees’ safety and peace of mind, there are many considerations for now, near and future term. While the immediate focus may be on what can be quickly and easily accomplished to start bringing people back to the office as part of Phase 1, there are also longer-term implications such as assessing current spaces, layouts, density and flow within the office space. We also have the ability to assist in the reexamination of materials and lighting with micro antibacterial properties and modifications to HVAC systems to help improve air quality and overall health of the returning employees. Over the last several weeks, the JRS Architect, P.C. team has been reviewing the variety of products and materials available to assist with firms’ transition to this new environment. This has also included overlaying COVID-19 guidelines to spaces to understand longer term options. As a starting point, the JRS team has compiled a Phase 1 analysis for a typical office plan, highlighting things to consider and potential solutions we believe will make it healthier for all those who enter. These suggestions reach across all spaces regardless if it is an office building, a school, medical building, or a public space. JRS welcomes the opportunity to partner with you, bringing our expertise on materials, design, and facilities to help tailor solutions to your organization’s priorities as you move through the phases of returning to work. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or needs such as a facility review. We will be happy to help your firm achieve a

level of comfort and safety for all your employees and customers. Stay well as we plan for this new and safer work environment.
