Salvage Steamers The Em. Z. Svitzer’s Salvage Co. have their headquarters at Copenhagen, where salvage steamers, equipped with the best apparatus, are always ready to assist vessels in distress at the shortest notice. The Company also have salvage steamers stationed in several provincial harbours. The company possess a fleet consisting of 20 fully equip­ ped salvage steamers and tug boats. Further, Svitzer’s are owners of 7 lighters and wreck-raising pontoons and a large stock of salvage material. Towage In connection with the salvage business the Svitzer Com­ pany have a special Towage-Department working in conjunc­ tion with the United Towage Co., of Copenhagen. For rates see page 93.
