Optional adaptive full LED headlamps complement the vehicle’s design cues by combining a distinctive look with enhanced light output for better visibility and safety at night. The headlamps’ adaptive function enable light beams to be automatically aligned with steering inputs and follow curves in the road. The Daytime Running Lights have a distinctive signature, which also serve as the directional indicator by flashing amber.
Range Rover Evoque has defined the compact SUV. Its design cues – striking lines, muscular shoulder and tapered roof – have become synonymous with style and contemporary city life. Now the vehicle is going even further. Available in SE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic models, new Range Rover Evoque Convertible, the world’s first premium compact convertible SUV, sets new standards in design, capability and sheer driving pleasure.

CONVERTIBLE ROOF The vehicle utilises a fabric Z-Folding Convertible Roof System in Ebony. It is electrically operated, with opening and closing being easily controlled via a switch mounted in the centre console; an action that can be completed whilst the vehicle is travelling up to 48kph. The roof is available in Ebony, which complements the complete colour palette. The roof has an acoustic inner lining to reduce road noise and also to provide insulation to the cabin. The tailgate has been developed to allow easy access to the loadspace. The loadspace capacity remains unchanged regardless of the roof position and is able to accommodate a standard golf bag, or a baby buggy.

INTERIOR A range of individual features provide added appeal to the clean, architectural shapes of the vehicle’s interior. The front seats incorporate the latest technologies such as climate control options, heated and cooled seats, to ensure a truly relaxed and comfortable ride. DRIVING TECHNOLOGY TERRAIN RESPONSE
Land Rover has always been synonymous with capability and Range Rover Evoque Convertible lives up to even the most demanding expectations. Confident and responsive, the drive is further enhanced by a generous wheel articulation and innovative off-road technologies such as Terrain Response, which is standard. This feature adapts to the responses of the vehicle’s engine, transmission, differentials and chassis systems to maximise driveability, comfort and traction. There are four Terrain Response settings: General Driving, Grass/ Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts and Sand. So, the vehicle feels sure-footed no matter what the terrain or weather conditions.

ALL-TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL
All-Terrain Progress Control is an optional state-of- the art new system that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions. Operating like a cruise control system, it functions at very low speeds between 1,8km/h and 30km/h, helping the driver to maintain full concentration on steering and finding a path through obstacles. The system is enhanced by a dedicated Launch feature, which enables the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on tricky low-friction surfaces like ice, sand or wet grass. Developed by Land Rover’s industry-leading all-terrain specialists, the system requires no additional hardware or sensors, and works seamlessly alongside the standard Terrain Response and four-wheel drive traction and braking systems. Once All-Terrain Progress Control is activated, the standard steering wheel +/- cruise control buttons are used to set the speed. Brake and accelerator pedals can still override the chosen settings, with gentle braking achieving a reduction in speed.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL
Land Rover’s patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) is a standard feature that assists the driver with controlled descents of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel. Hill Start Assist ensures the vehicle doesn’t roll backwards as it pulls away on an incline. The vehicle also utilises Gradient Release Control (GRC) which is designed to prevent the vehicle accelerating too quickly on a steep incline when the driver inadvertently releases the brake.

When cornering, the vehicle’s agility and stability are enhanced by the optional new Torque Vectoring by Braking system. Monitoring the vehicle, this system constantly balances the distribution of torque between all the wheels to improve grip and steering whether on or off-road.

Range Rover Evoque Convertible also offers an optional upgrade, the Meridian Digital Surround Sound System, which produces 660W through 12 loudspeakers and a dual-channel subwoofer. This system also includes Meridian Trifield technology. This technology delivers the very best in world-class audio reproduction, bringing you closer to the original performance regardless of your position in the vehicle; everyone will feel and hear pure musical enjoyment.
Land Rover has partnered with Meridian, a world leader in high performance audio technologies and digital sound processing to develop advanced audio systems for Range Rover Evoque Convertible. Dynamic Volume Control technology has also been integrated on both systems, to ensure that any unwanted noise detected in the cabin will be smoothly and automatically balanced out. The standard 380W Meridian Digital Sound System features 10 loudspeakers and a dual-channel subwoofer, delivering exceptional definition, crystal clear highs and full, deep bass through the careful arrangement of speakers.

HEAD UP DISPLAY Head Up Display is a technology option that presents key vehicle data such as current speed, gear position and navigation directions on the windscreen, without distraction or the need for the driver to take their eyes off the road. In a world first, the Land Rover system features laser holographic techniques, resulting in superior colour saturation, brightness and contrast. This innovative laser system is more robust against issues such as ‘washout’ – the effect that the glare from sunlight has on inferior LED-based systems. The display can be turned on and off dependent upon driver preference.

COMFORT FOR ALL SEATING SE Dynamic models are specified with Grained leather seats as standard, as well as eight-way electric memory on both driver and front passenger seats. As an option, heated front seats are available which can be individually controlled. For the ultimate comfort, on HSE Dynamic models, climate front seats are available. This option provides both heated and cooled ventilation through the standard Oxford leather seats. To complement this function, optional front massage seats allow both the driver and front passenger to select from five settings via the Touch-screen.
TIMED CLIMATE Optional Timed Climate has an added Park Heat facility. This pre-heats the engine, channelling residual heat into the cabin, so the vehicle is warm and comfortable by the time the driver leaves the house. Likewise, in hot weather you can cool down the cabin temperature. It can be activated or pre-programmed through the Touch-screen to ensure it’s ready for the regular morning departure time.
CONFIGURABLE MOOD LIGHTING HSE Dynamic models feature, as standard, Configurable Mood Lighting which is controlled via the vehicle's Touch-screen, with a choice of ten colours available. The brightness of the mood lighting is also configurable, and a ‘Stealth’ setting is available to reduce cabin illumination to a minimum. Create the mood. Enjoy the surroundings. The InControl Touch Pro infotainment system is quick, intuitive and can be adapted to suit your individual needs. The key aspects of InControl Touch Pro are: – A 10,2 inch Touch-screen comes as standard and it responds in the same manner as a smartphone or tablet computer, providing multi-touch gestures such as pinch to zoom, and swipe. It features a customisable home screen so your favourite widgets can be at your fingertips, and its interactive side panel makes multi-tasking easy. – InControl Touch Pro Navigation is standard on HSE Dynamic models. The guidance system is intelligent enough to determine where you might want to go even if you misspell a destination, or do not know the complete address. The fully integrated navigation system uses ‘Dead Reckoning’ to accurately pinpoint the position of your vehicle in order to ensure appropriate guidance and avoid confusion, particularly useful in tunnels or built up areas.

Si4 PETROL ENGINE The Si4 petrol engine is a lightweight all- aluminium 2.0 litre 240PS engine with four- wheel drive as standard. It comes with the latest direct-injection technology, advanced turbocharging and twin independent variable valve timing to help lower fuel consumption and CO 2 with traditional larger capacity engines delivering equivalent performances. The engine delivers a rich, powerful engine sound during strong acceleration and features a unique exhaust manifold for emissions compared
An efficient solenoid common-rail system feeds fuel into the combustion chambers which provides precision injection with low noise levels. Added to which internal friction is reduced by up to 17 percent compared with the previous generation turbodiesel engine, boosting efficiency, smoothness and responsiveness. Not only is the new Ingenium engine substantially lighter, more fuel-efficient and more refined than its predecessor, it is also more affordable and convenient to own thanks to servicing intervals extended from 16,000 to 21,000 miles (or every two years, whichever comes first).

SAFETY As with every Land Rover safety was a key priority in the development of Range Rover Evoque Convertible. In all models, all seating positions are assessed to ensure a high standard of occupant protection as well as a comprehensive occupant safety package including driver and passenger airbags, driver knee airbags, and side airbags - seat mounted with head protection. Furthermore the twin rear seats include ISOFIX as standard.
ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE
BLIND SPOT MONITORING Blind Spot Monitoring is packaged with Reverse Traffic Detection. Designed to see what might be missed, these optional systems have discrete sensors hidden in the side and rear bumpers. When a vehicle enters a blind spot on either side of the vehicle, Blind Spot Monitoring alerts the driver via an icon displayed in the appropriate door mirror. If a vehicle approaches at speed from behind when changing lanes, the driver will be alerted by a flashing icon in the door mirror. Activated whilst reversing, Reverse Traffic Detection works by informing the driver in the event of a vehicle approaching from either side which may present a hazard, with both audible and visual warnings.
PARK ASSIST Park Assist consists of Parallel Park and Parking Exit. Using sensors, this optional feature identifies parking spaces and helps to parallel park in tight spots. The screen prompts the driver to select reverse and then automatically steers the vehicle into place. The driver stays in control using the brake and graphics in the instrument panel to guide through each manoeuvre. Parking Exit provides the same assistance to manoeuvre out of the space. Perpendicular Park is an optional addition to the system. Truly useful in car parks and tight spaces, it automatically assesses whether the chosen space is wide enough before steering the vehicle centrally into place.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL Optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a radar based cruise control system that helps maintain a pre-set gap from the vehicle in front, even if it changes speed. Queue Assist uses ACC technology to follow the vehicle in front in traffic queues. It will bring the vehicle to a halt when necessary. Intelligent Emergency Braking uses radar to detect vehicles travelling in the same direction. If the system calculates that a frontal collision is imminent, it can fully deploy the brakes to mitigate a frontal collision. This feature works up to 80kph.

DRIVELINE, ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND FUEL ECONOMY The all-new Ingenium diesel engine is fully EU6 compliant, and is coupled with lightweight all-aluminium construction and nine-speed automatic transmission. This delivers greatly improved fuel efficiency and lower CO 2 emissions. The Si4 petrol engine is also fully EU6 compliant, yet has lost nothing in performance, accelerating from 0-100kph in just 8.6 seconds.
All engines feature Intelligent Stop/Start technology, automatically shutting down the engine at rest when possible, and re-starting it again as soon as you lift your foot off the brake.

As one of the Driver Assistance Technologies, providing improved visibility when reversing, the Rear View Camera is a valuable parking aid and offers help when hitching a trailer. Static lines representing the vehicles outer perimeter and predicted path are superimposed on the rearward image, to make parking in tight spots as easy as possible.
