feated in sing les and doubles and received a Certificate ofAchieve– ment from the San Diego Hall of Champions. Her sophomore campai gn in 1995 she advanced to quarters of NCAA Doubles Champions hips (w/Smith) and finished ranked 14th in nation . She turned in a team-best 42-16 overall record (20- 10 sg ls/22-6 dbl s) and was ranked 88th nationall y in sing les (20th in west region). In '94 she fini shed 35-9 overall and 20-4 in sing les, and won WCC titles in sing les (Flight B) and doubles (Fli ght Cw/ Baird). She is a three-time WCC Scholar-Athlete. Juli e enters he r fourth and final season with the Toreros. Along with teammate Yvonne Doy le, Julie is ranked #21 in the ITA doubles rankings. Last season Julie fini shed with the team 's best

win- loss percentage (63.3), compi ling an overall mark of 35-20 ( 19- 11 sg ls; 16-9 dbl s). A Presidential Scholarship rec ipient at USO with a grade-point average of 3.8+, last season Julie was se lected an ITA Scholar-Athlete All-American and named to the WCC All-Academi c Team. In the fa ll of 1995 she advanced to the doubles quarterfinals (w/Jackson) at the Rolex SoCal Championships. Her sophomore season she was 29- 17 overall ( 17-4 in doubles w/Dina Birch; 15-2 at #3 ). Her freshma n year she fini shed 2 1-14 overall ( I3-7 in dbl s) and teamed with Yvonne Doyle to win the " Flight C" Obi s Cham– pionship at the WCC's. She enters the '97 spring season with a career record of 98-62 (44-37 sgls; 54-25 dbl s). Prior to USO, in '93 she was ranked #6 in the Westerns and pl aced 3rd at the Illi– nois Hi gh School Tournament. Major: Business Administration
