Statement of Expertise I have taken part in the following activity Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs®) 2018.009: Lactose in Low‐Lactose or Lactose‐Free Milk, Milk Products, and Products Containing Dairy Ingredients. In addition, I am: ‐ AOAC Methods in Codex STAN 234 Expert Review Panel (ERP) Member ‐ AOAC SPSFAM Sugars Working Group member. My researches concern low‐lactose products including cheeses, processed cheeses and dairy products with vegetable fats. Staff Recommendation YES – ADD TO THIS ERP Has experience with analysis and chemistry of milk and milk products and working group member for sugars. Statement of Expertise Chr. Hansen is one of the leading companies worldwide within the dairy ingredients sector. The Department of Biochemical Analysis is providing analysis for Food and Enzyme R&D to develop future products. As the responsible scientist for the sugar analysis within Biochemical Analysis at Chr. Hansen I am working on a daily basis with the analysis of lactose within all kind of different matrices. Many of our laboratory activities are targeted the low‐lactose field and its challenges. My expertise in this area covers a broad range of applied techniques, e.g. IC, enzyme‐based assays, LC‐ MS. I served as chair of the AOAC Sugars Working Group and on the Total Sugars, and Fructans ERPs. My experience as a Quality Manager for Yoplait included performing analyses for emergency issues and interpreting data for proper application.
