SOOTHED IN A LUXURY SWING The Objets Nomades furniture collection continues Louis Vuitton’s tradition to inspire and surprise. From a hammock to a foldable stool – the range includes 18 pieces produced in collaboration with some of the most creative designers of our time – Swing Chair by Patricia Urquiola, Beach Chair Special Edition by Maarten Baas, as well as limited editions including the Lounge Chair by Marcel Wanders. The collection features permanent and new pieces; the latest additions are the Blossom Stool by Tokujin Yoshioka and Fur Cocoon, in black, short-hair lambskin, by the Campana Brothers. Inspired by Louis Vuitton’s monogram, the Blossom Stool is a swirl of gilded brass. The combination of practical with luxurious, modern with traditional creates, “an art object that travels beyond time,” says its creator Tokujin Yoshioka. “I wanted to create something iconic that strongly symbolizes the philosophy of Louis Vuitton, and created an object that is universal and timeless.” Vacuum-molded fiberglass covered with calfskin creates the limited edition swinging Cocoon. Designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana, the brothers wished to show the unique ways of working with recycled materials. Designed to enfold, envelop and reassure, the Cocoon is available in a host of colors – purple (right), turquoise, red, yellow, light blue, dark blue, coral, grey or green leather.
