C O U N T R Y F O C U S I N D I A The top three cities in the world for property rental yields right now are Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. India is booming – and it is only going to get better. For sheer glitz and glamour, head to Mumbai, the country’s most affluent city, where there's something for everyone. Start by getting over jet lag any time – day or night – at The Oberoi spa, the only one in the city that is open 24 hours. Once fully rested, spend some rupees at Palladium, the city’s luxury mall, or for alternative retail therapy, head to the district of Colaba which boasts chic independent boutiques and contemporary art galleries. For culinary experiences, try Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia’s contemporary Indian cuisine at Ziya, or make for the much-lauded Indigo, a favorite of many Bollywood stars. And do try to catch a show at the Royal Opera House, which, after a hiatus of more than 20 years, has recently reopened, restored to its former glory. If you’re after more active pursuits, charter a luxury yacht to explore the local shoreline, or try to find someone prepared to share their (very expensive) corporate box at the Wankhede Stadium for a cricket match or two. And, for a real overview of the city, head 34 floors up to AER, the rooftop bar of the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, to finish your day watching the sunset with a cocktail.
