Lost and Found Procedures

Storage Lost properties are to be stored at Cabana (Men’s locker # 18 and Ladies # 16). Valuable or expensive properties are to be stored in the BC office or petty cash safe. Administrating a L&F Log Book Manager or captains must record lost or found properties, with the following information: Found properties Date item was found, clear description, (color, size, brand etc.), place found, person’s name who found the item, place where item is stored. Lost properties Date item was lost, best possible description of item, possible place where item was lost, name and contact info of person acquiring ownership.

Beach Club staff should hand found properties directly to the manager or captains, who must follow up with recording and storage procedures.

Keys for the lockers are kept inside the key box in the BC office. (Red floating type key holder named “lost and found”)

Returning properties Whenever property is returned, the item is crossed off the found list and name of owner is recorded in the found list. 90day release period If an item was found and not acquired by anyone within 90 days, the item is to be returned to the person who found it and crossed off the list.
