Weekly Staff Meeting The weekly staff meeting is held every Saturday from 3pm to 4pm. The meeting always starts with an outlook of the upcoming ten days and will further discuss recent events. The meeting might be used for additional training and employee endorsement. The assigned captain will take meeting minutes of every meeting and send those to the Beach Club Manager and Beach Club GM for revision every Saturday. Breaks, Staff Area and Employee Meal At the Beach Club staff is provided with lockers and a staff area with couches and picnic tables. The Beach Club proud itself with the best staff meal at the Club, which is served to the most common break times, at 10:45am and at 4:45pm. To which time an employee takes her break is determined in the schedule and is generally 30 minutes long. Up on the manager’s approval additional breaks may be taken. Every meal is to be consumed in the designated staff area. Eating during service is prohibited due to hygienic reasons. The use of headphones outside of break time is prohibited. Alcohol and Smoking at Work Frenchman’s Creek Beach and Country Club is a smoke free Club. Hence, smoking is only allowed in the designated staff area. Smoking breaks may only be taken in between service and when every employee, smoking and non-smoking, has the opportunity to an equally long break. Request Time Off Every time off request has to be handed in to the Beach Club manager one week prior to the weekly schedule of the off request. Employee of the Month The employee recognition program at the Beach Club works with a point system. Every team member at the Beach Club can reward another team member for an outstanding job by simply writing an email to the management. It is then to the management to decide if the criteria of an outstanding job apply and to award the employee with 4 sand dollars (points) and post the email on the employee board. The employee that collects the most points by the end of the month will be rewarded as the employee of the month. All employees of the month are up for the vote of the employee of the season at the end of summer. However, every employee elected or not will be rewarded at the end of season party at the Beach Club depending on the collected amount of points.
