Installation of the (4) escalators by KONE is approximately 12 weeks total. Each of the (4) escalators comes in (4) truss sections. The sections get rigged, set into place, and spliced together. We are still working with KONE on the rigging and install plan at this time. Once all of the trusses are set in place and spliced together, KONE will begin working on the escalator decking, balustrades, and steps. No work can take place above the escalator work zone during their installation. I’m not sure what is meant by method of attachments, unless you are speaking about KONE’s own attachments to the upper and lower pits. See shop drawings for reference to the units and their details at the bearing plates. Let me know if any further information or specific items needed at this time.
