Одна благополучная австрийская семья, среди множества увлечений которой есть и лыжный спорт, и, судя по всему, страсть к искусству, пригласила для оформления своей квартиры на курорте в районе Ворарлберга архитекторов бюро Delugan Meissl Architects. Последние уже давно стали любимцами не только гордого австрийского народа. Их проекты создают международный резонанс, а их архитектуру называют сильной и чувственной. Работы Романа Делугана (Roman Delugan) и Эльке Делуган-Мэйссль (Elke Delugan-Meissl) – это, прежде всего, жесты, конечно, очень изящные, в меру деконструктивистские, но не бессмысленные. То есть, скульптурность никогда не появляется у них как самоценность, сложные дигитальные формы несут нагрузку не только эстетическую, но и, в определен- ной степени, этическую, метафизическую даже. Даже воздушные и кажущиеся парящими над землей, они никогда не отрываются от тверди, создавая парадоксальным образом впечатление легкости и одновременно прочности, основательности. Откуда взялась идея концепции этой квартиры? Да что же тут гадать? Стоит только взглянуть на горные склоны за окном, поросшие елками. Именно стройная текучесть горных склонов, где из-под снега неожиданно выныривает кочка, навернувшись с которой можно получить впечатлений на всюжизнь, отразилась в интерьере. Тектоника, продиктованная самой природой, – основная идея ландшафта этой квартиры. Перепланировку хозяева делать не собирались, но и то, что было предложено архи- текторам изначально, оказалось удачной основой для того, чтобы выстроить здесь горы и долы. People living in big cities build chalets and buy flats on ski resorts – to enjoy the mountain air and the wind blowing in the face and whatever a regular skier must enjoy, without any issues to care about. One wealthy Austrian family that lists skiing and, evidently, admiration of art among their numer- ous pastimes, invited professionals from Delugan Meissl Architects to design their flat at a resort near Vorarlberg. These architects have been admired in the proud Austrian nation and beyond for a long time. Their projects make headlines internationally and their architecture is referred to as powerful and sensual. The works of Roman Delugan and Elke Delugan-Meissl are first of all gestures, certainly very elegant, and to a certain extent decunstruc- tivist, but not senseless It means that they never perceive sculptural qualities as a goal in itself, the complex digital forms carry not only the aesthetic load but also, to an extent, ethic or even metaphysi- cal one. Even when seeming airy and soaring above the earth, they are always very down-to-earth, which creates a paradoxical impression of lightness and solidity at the same time. Where did the concept of the flat come from? It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out. Just take a look out of the window at the mountain slopes covered with fir trees. It is the well- shaped downstream of the mountain slopes where one can get an impression of their life tripping over a mound under the snow, that was reflected in the interior. Tectonics provided by the nature itself is the main idea of this flat’s interior.
