Дизайн, по уверениям архитекторов, отражает стремление хозяев к спокойному, размеренному отдыху, к тишине и релаксации, которые должны завершать день, полный чудес на виражах. Как говорится, «лучше гор могут быть только горы». Универсальный источник вдохновения, они одновре- менно и слалом – один из самых опасных видов спорта, и потрясающей красоты объект созерцания. Поэтому внутри самого дома максимально убраны перегородки – комнаты просто перетекают одна в другую. А для связи с внешним миром предусмотрены огромные окна. При этом заказчики попросили архитекторов каким-то образом противопоставить ландшафт дому. Для этого были выбраны материалы: там, где за окном постоянно снег, внутри должно быть дерево. Так решили дизайнеры, и оказались правы: облицовка древе- синой не только придала объекту теплоту, но и некую связь со стихиями. Воздух – в свете, проникающем сквозь окна. Камень – в царящих за окном вершинах, перекликающихся с немногочисленными каменными деталями, акцентирующими пространство. Дерево – окутывает почти весь интерьер. Огонь нашел свое отражение в открытом камине, ко- торый даже больше похож на небольшой костерок, разложенный в пещере утомленными путешественниками. Словом, проектировщикам удалось создать пространство выверенное, но при этом абсолютно ненавязчивое, с деталями, но не перегруженное, спокойное, но провоцирующее на подвиги. А ведь за подвигами и за доказательствами того, на что способен каждый, люди и ездят в горы.

The owners did not plan a redevelopment but what was proposed by the architects initially appeared to be a good basis for building mountains and valleys there. The area of the flat is not very large and is enlarged with extending the space towards second and third levels. The design, as architects say, reflects the owners’ desire to rest in a calm easy atmosphere of a quiet and relaxed setting after a day of skiing miracles. As the phrase goes, ‘only mountains are better then mountains’’. A uni- versal source of inspiration, they are both slalom, one of the most dangerous sports, and a sight of overwhelming beauty. This is why there are only a minimal number of walls in the flat – the rooms just flow into one another. Giant windows are there to connect the flat with the outer world. Besides, the customers asked the architects to make the house oppose the outer landscape. They choose specific materials for that: where there is always snow outside, there must be wood inside. This was the decision of the designers and it appeared to be the right one. The wooden surfacing made the flat look warmer and also gave it a connection to the elements. The air is in the light that comes through the windows. The stone is in the mountain peaks and in the few stone details that emphasize the interior. The wood is practically everywhere in the interior. The fire is reflected in the open fireplace that looks more like a small fire made by the tired travelers in a cave. In fact, the designers managed to create a very precise interior which is absolutely not irritat- ing, detailed but not overloaded, calm but calling for achievement. And it is the achievement and prove that anyone can do it are the things people go to the mountains for.
