the width of the building materials market. Every building is unique and has its own character. The “live” color surface of glass panels connects three cone-shaped parts of the building in the middle, distinguishing it from others and underlining its status as the main building. The charm of this artificial cloud is encoded in the color combination and in the quantity of glass stripes, stretched against the concrete blotch like with snake skin. Transpar- ent facades of the first floor allow for looking a t everything which constitutes the everyday life of a student: service center, practice rooms, hairdress- ers and hall – the lecture auditoriums are situated higher. This colored part of the college contrasts with the grim buildings around surfaced with copper and zinc. The reformed students’ mind in practice is often remains a prisoner of rough architecture forms. However, the Mecanoo designers have found a modern alternative which fosters creative skills among young people. They understood that in this case it is the form which defines the content.
